MWH – Eagle Village Connector Road Now Open!

For those of you who spend time on the MWH Medical Campus, you may have noticed the road construction going on between Kids Station and Snowden at Fredericksburg. The University of Mary Washington (UMW), in partnership with MWHC, has built a connector road from UMW’s Eagle Village and our MWH Campus on Sam Perry Blvd. The connector road, Eagle Village Drive, officially opened on Friday, April 13th. The speed limit is 15 mph and the road is equipped with speed bumps to help maintain safety as travelers are approaching our campus. There is a stop sign located at the intersection of Sam Perry Boulevard and Eagle Village Drive. As an additional safety feature, Eagle Village Drive is a right turn only onto the MWH campus.

Access to Eagle Village is a benefit to our Associates who work or who are visiting the MWH Campus. Amenities are a short drive, walk or bike ride and include 9 restaurants, dry cleaners, post office, ABC store, Hallmark, Giant Food, and the newly opened Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt.

A hotel is being built at Eagle Village and is scheduled for a 2013 opening. The hotel will provide a place to stay for our patients’ loved ones who need a place to stay or want to be close.
